Based on the true story of Michael Oher, an amazing gifted athlete and bright young kid who has been abandoned and kicked around by the world his entire life, whose life changes when he is brought in and eventually adopted by a wealthy family from the other side of the tracks. While the football scenes are great, this is not a football movie, but a film about: family, love, second chances, and ultimately the relationship between Michael and his adoptive mother played masterfully by Sandra Bullock, who lights up the film and every scene that she is in. I really enjoyed this film from start to finish, and it certainly beat the hell out of the last few movies I've seen in the theatre, and would definitely recommend it to anyone, but I don't know there was just something missing that could have taken it from good to great, you know that "it factor", because the story was great, the acting was great, and it was well-directed, edited, and there were no major problems, just lacked that "wow" factor.
